AI has made it a lot easier to find bugs in crypto-related software. Perhaps too easy.

The problem now is that so many cyber sleuths are finding bugs that they're all clamoring to get paid for their efforts, and software developers don't have enough time to review the findings and address them, as reported by CoinDesk's Shaurya Malwa.

As a result, Jump Crypto's Firedancer bug bounty program will now require researchers to burn 1 SOL, worth about $100, per submission to deter spam, according to the story. A recent audit drew 809 reports but yielded only 127 unique findings, with nearly half of valid submissions duplicating earlier ones.

The DeAI angle: AI agents have made bug hunting cheap but overwhelmed human reviewers with near-identical findings, so Jump is using a token burn, not better detection tools, to price out low-effort AI submissions and protect engineer time.
