Axis Robotics, a startup building a decentralized network of contributors to help train robots, said Saturday it will supply data to OpenRoboto, a robotics model competition running on the Bittensor network.
Axis will contribute “over 3 million multi-modal trajectories” to OpenRoboto’s Open Data Pool and support its benchmarking platform, the company said in a post on X.
OpenRoboto, which launched Aug. 6 as Bittensor Subnet 80, has participants fine-tune an open base model derived from π0.5 and submit the weights on-chain. A model replaces the base only if it scores better on the LIBERO-Pro benchmark.
The deal extends Axis beyond its own platform three weeks after the company said it raised $12 million in a seed round led by Hack VC, with Nomad Capital, Pi Network Ventures and 10K Ventures participating. Validation on a real robot sits on OpenRoboto’s roadmap as a later milestone.
Neither company disclosed terms.
