Core Lightning, one of the main software implementations of Bitcoin's Lightning Network, issued an emergency warning to node operators after a batch of AI-generated vulnerability reports turned up several genuine flaws in its code, CoinDesk's Shaurya Malwa reported.
Developers plan a two-week embargo, sending signed patches before disclosing details. They have not said how many flaws exist or whether any have been exploited.
It is the second Lightning security emergency this month, after a BTCPay Server flaw exposed node credentials and drained merchant funds, CoinDesk reported on Aug. 8.
